URS operates one of the most efficient modern fleets (52 ships) with multitask capabilities, safe and reliable equipment, essential to quality service. URS has embarked on an ongoing safety programme and is constantly seeking ways to improvement. That is why its specialised tugs and supply vessels meet the highest standards of its customers.

The organisation of URS is based on strong nautical , salvage and technical maintenance departments, including its own marine workshop. The experienced, extensively trained and motivated staff complies with the strict STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) rules and provides knowledge and craftsmanship that modern shipping requires.

Yesterday URS guaranteed service and availability with its traditional towage and salvage activities. Today it is also renowned for its specialised activities in offshore operations, safety and specific shipping demands. Recently URS has been fighting the oilspill of the sunken tanker Prestige, currently it is involved in the salvage operation of the carcarrier Tricolor, while its flagship Union Manta is active in the oilfields in the Gulf of Mexico.
